The Roads of Graiguenamanagh talk
Graiguenamanagh Historical Society will present a talk by author and local historian, Colm Walsh, on the history of the roads around Graiguenamanagh on Friday 13th April @8.30pm in Graiguenamanagh Library. Spring in the Mill lectures
Kells Regional Economic Enterprise is hosting a series of lectures in Mullins Mill, Kells, Co. Kilkenny.  Each lecture will include a Q & A session followed by tea & coffee. €5 per lecture to defray costs. All are welcome.
Thursday 19th April @ 8pm:  The Ros Tapestry, a set of fifteen magnificently embroidered panels depicting the Norman Invasion of Ireland.
Thursday 26th April @ 8pm:   The Battle of Carrickshock in 1831, by Michael Darmody, retired teacher and historian, took place near Hugginstown and was a major event in the Tithe Wars.

Investing in our Culture, Language and Heritage
Minister Josepha Madigan recently announced plans to invest €1.2 billion in our culture, heritage and language infrastructure as part of Project Ireland 2040. €460m has been allocated for our National Cultural Institutions, €265m for cultural and creativity investment programme, €285m for natural and built heritage and €178m for the Gaeltacht, the Irish language and the islands.
