Inistioge Heritage Trail launch
Councillor Andrew McGuinness, Kilkenny County Council Leas Cathaoirleach, will launch the Inistioge Heritage Trail map, a fresh creative look at the story of Inistioge, on Thursday 23rd Aug @7.30pm in Cois Abhann Centre, Inistioge.
This will be followed by two short talks, based on recent research, by archaeologist, Ben Murtagh and by historian, John Kirwan, author of The Chief Butlers of Ireland and the House of Ormond @8pm. Further details at www.heritageweek.ie

New Kilkenny history book published
Eoin Swithin Walsh, who has written extensively on various aspects of Irish history, has a new book out called Kilkenny: In Times of Revolution, 1900 – 1923 which reveals Kilkenny’s involvement in the struggle for Irish freedom. Further details on this book at http://irishacademicpress.ie/

Kilkenny Women of Note evening
Kilkenny Archaeological Society will host their 3rd Annual Kilkenny Women of Note evening on Wednesday 19th Sept. @8pm in Rothe House.
