Help Record Kilkenny’s Biodiversity this Spring
Birdwatch Ireland is looking for volunteers to help record Kilkenny’s birds and the National Biodiversity Data Centre is looking for your help to record 14 common Spring Flowering Plants such as bluebell, primrose and lord’s and ladies.  To find out more go to http://kilkennyheritage.ie/2019/03/help-record-kilkennys-biodiversity-this-spring/

Blaise Smith talk
Dúchas Tullaherin Heritage Society will host an illustrated talk, by artist Blaise Smith R.H.A, titled ‘An artist painting in County Kilkenny’ on Friday 29th March @8pm in Thomastown Community Hall. The artist will talk about his work from 1997-2019. All are welcome.

Pollinator Award newsletter
Biodiversity Ireland have produced a digital 36-page newsletter featuring articles from the 2018 award winners which illustrate the wonderful power of community groups in making a difference to our biodiversity. It also contains lots of tips on how to do well in this year’s Local Authority Pollinator Award. Historic Houses annual conference
The 17th Annual Historic Houses Conference will take place on 13th-15th May at Maynooth University, Castletown House and the National Gallery of Ireland. The conference theme will be ‘Country House Collections: Their Past, Present & Future’ and it will how at how and why collections were amassed, examine their break up and consider the afterlife of objects.
