Heritage Week in Callan & Conahy
An evening’s entertainment
Callan Heritage Society will  host an evening of song, music and poems of John Locke and others with Paddy Fitzpatrick and Philip Lynch on 20th August from 8-10pm in KCAT Centre, Callan. All are welcome.
Bronze Age fort of Corrandhu’ talk
Conahy Heritage Society will host a talk, by Professor William O’Brien, on hillforts with particular emphasis on Kilkenny’s largest prehistoric monument, Corrandhu or Toor More followed by a walk on the hillfort, on 18th August from 2-4.30pm in Conahy Parochial Hall.

Guided Walk of Patrick Street
Kilkenny Archaeological Society will host a guided walk along Patrick Street, Kilkenny, led by Maura Kenealy on Wednesday 22nd August @7pm. Meet at the Horse Trough, The Parade.

Using mobile technology – advice for communities and visitor centres
Integrated Worlds will host an event titled “Small Screens, Big Opportunities” on 11th October from 2 – 5pm in Glasnevin Museum, Dublin, with an insight into using mobile technology to engage communities and enhance user and visitor experience. Thomastown Community Network
Thomastown Creative Arts Festival will take place from 9th – 19th August with a great programme including exhibitions by 30 artists throughout the town and surrounds. The festival will also be featuring the Art of Upcycling Installations which has been created by community groups and individual artists.

Kilkenny Great War Memorial unveiling
