Traditional Farm Buildings Grant Scheme 2019
The Heritage Council’s GLAS Traditional Farm Building Grant scheme for the conservation and repair of traditional farm buildings and related structures for farmers is now open for applications.  Deadline for receipt of completed applications (hard copy only) is 5pm Tuesday 19th February 2019. Kilcoole & Avoca Outing
Birdwatch Ireland Kilkenny Branch have organised to Kilcoole and Avoca to look for wading birds and Red Kites on Saturday 23rd February.  Meet at Kilkenny Castle gates for car-pooling at 10.00am. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Further information patandmarydurkin@gmail.com
Irish Georgian Society Conservation Awards 2019
The Irish Georgian Society invites applications for its Architectural and Original Drawing Awards 2019 from Irish architects, architectural practices, building surveyors, contractors, engineers and other professionals involved in the conservation of historic buildings on the island of Ireland.  Closing date for receipt of applications is 12 noon on Friday 26th April 2019. Heritage Council – Working with Community Initiatives 2019
In 2019, the Heritage Council’s budget allocation will be directed towards achieving some of the objectives in the new Heritage Council Strategic Plan, and for the moment, they will not be opening a community grant scheme in 2019.
