St Lachtain’s Museum & Arts Centre
St. Lachtain’s Museum & Arts Centre, Freshford will open for the summer months again this year. The official launch will take place on Saturday 1st June @11.30am and will be open each week on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11.30am -4.30pm. Ms. Sheila Dooley, historian, archaeologist and a native of Freshford will officially launch the event. Centrepiece of the museum will be the five panels telling the story of this historic church site.  Local arts and crafts will be on sale. All are welcome.

Thomastown Biodiversity Community Garden
Thomastown Community Network will have the official opening, by Mary Reynolds Nature Activist and Reformed Landscape Designer, of their biodiversity community garden on Saturday 8th June @11am in the Upper Paddock, Thomastown. All are welcome.

Bring Your Own Chair
Callan Workhouse Union has advised that the Bring Your Own Chair portrait event to take place on Sunday 2nd June in Kells has been postponed until further notice.

Environment & Nature Fund Grants 2019
The Community Foundation of Ireland have established a fund of €200,000 to provide grants to enhance biodiversity in communities throughout the country by combining the expertise of qualified ecologists with the skills, experience and enthusiasm of local community groups.
