Creative Ireland Kilkenny Grant Scheme 2019
Kilkenny County Council seeks applications for grants for cultural projects in the county as part of the Creative Ireland 2019 programme. The grant scheme will provide financial support to local and community groups and individuals, artistic and creative practitioners, event organisers and those involved in creative, cultural and heritage activities and projects, to encourage cultural participation throughout Kilkenny. The Battle of Carrickshock Talk
As part of their anniversary celebrations and the Decade of Commemorations, the Home Rule Club will host a talk titled The Battle of Carrickshock 1831: Prelude to 1916, by Maynooth lecturer Jim McAuley, on Wednesday 17th July @ 8.30pm in the Home Rule Club, on the Kilkenny popular revolt with personal footnotes from 8 times All Ireland medal winner Richie Power. Admission: €5 (includes refreshments). All are welcome.

William Marshall Pop Up Talks & Tour Series
The OPW, Kilkenny Castle, will host a free pop up talk titled From my lips to God’s ear, on Monday 8th July from 1.15 – 1.45pm in the Parade Tower. Kilkenny pupil national winner in the Heritage Emoji Design Competition
The results of the Heritage Emoji Design Competition, initiated by the National Monument Service of the Dept. of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht as part of Heritage Ireland 2030 and co-ordinated in Kilkenny by the Kilkenny Education Centre, were announced recently. The overall winner was Laura Ryan of St. Brigid’s National School, Coon, Co. Coach Outing to Fethard
Kilkenny Archaeological Society has organised a coach outing to Fethard and area, Co. Tipperary on Saturday 13th July from 9.30am -7pm. The coach departs Dean Street at 10am.
