Community Enhancement Programme open for applications
The Community Enhancement Programme (CEP) is open for grant applications and provides funding to not-for-profit community or voluntary groups across the country to enhance facilities in disadvantaged areas and is administered, in Kilkenny by the Kilkenny Local Community Development Committee (LCDC). Closing date for receipt of applications: Friday 18th June 2021. Garden Hedgehog Survey – it’s not too late to join in
For anyone who missed the recent hedgehog workshop and would like to survey hedgehogs in their garden the full instructions for the Garden Hedgehog Survey are now available online and you can download them here https://www.irishhedgehogsurvey.com/garden-hedgehog-survey . You will also find the online questionnaire there to return your survey results or to record your garden hedgehogs. This project by NUIG Galway is co-funded by the Heritage Office of Kilkenny County Council and is important to help build up a picture of the distribution and number of hedgehogs in the county.

Kilkenny Community Wellbeing webinar
A national initiative to develop a vision for community wellbeing is being developed and in Kilkenny the Public Participation Network are hosting virtual workshops to identify actions that can be undertaken by communities to increase the quality of life in Kilkenny. Spotlight on Cultural Heritage webinar
The new Creative Europe Programme 2021-2027 will host a webinar titled Creative Europe 2021-2027: Spotlight on Cultural Heritage on Tuesday 8th June@11am which will present an overview of the new Creative Europe Programme with a focus on the supports available to the Heritage Sector and will highlight best practice examples in the field of cultural heritage at EU and national level.
