Tullahought scoops County Heritage Week Award
Congratulations to Tullahought Community Development on winning the “County Heritage Week Award” for County Kilkenny at the National Heritage Week awards organised by the Heritage Council at Croke Park this week, with their film “Tullahought Church Inside Out and Upside Down”.  The film was created and produced by the community.  https://www.heritageweek.ie/projects/tullahought-church-inside-out-upside-down-1

“Callan Regeneration in Focus” Booklet
A new booklet produced by Kilkenny County Council which highlights the projects undertaken in Callan since 2016, when the town was selected to pilot the “Framework for Town Centre Renewal”. Raising Zero Waste Kids

Geo-heritage Grant Scheme 2021/22
Geological Survey Ireland invites applications for the Geoheritage Grant aid for 2021/22 up to maximum of €10,000. Irish Bird Monitoring Scientific Research Network
The Irish Bird Monitoring Scientific Research Network will host a free online introductory meeting on Thursday 28th October from 2 -3.30pm.  The session is for scientists, researchers, ecologists, students, policy makers and practitioners to discuss, identify and drive collaborative research projects. OPW Kilkenny Castle will host a Halloween programme with two online workshops for adults and children titled Discovering The Amazing World of Bats (adults) on Thursday 28th Oct @7.30pm and Discovering the Hidden World of Bats (children) on Sunday 31st Oct @2pm. Creative & Cultural Entrepreneurship funded post graduate course
Tangent, Trinity College’s Ideas Workspace, have a Springboard+ funded Postgraduate Certificate in Creative & Cultural Entrepreneurship that will take place from 18th Jan – 8th June 2022 with a blend of online teaching and classroom-based learning.
