Kilkenny Swift online webinar
Birdwatch Ireland will host an online webinar on Wednesday 17th August from 7-8.15pm and will present the results of the Kilkenny Swift audit commissioned by the Kilkenny County Council Heritage Office last year. 50 localities were visited and surveyed with colonies identified in 13 towns and villages. Bishop’s Palace guided tours during Heritage Week 2022
This beautiful historic building has been the headquarters of The Heritage Council since 2008 and they will host tours during Heritage Week from 16th -19th Aug (in Irish and English) where you can hear more about its fascinating history. Swifts at the Medieval Mile Museum
BirdWatch Ireland will host a Swift Talk, by Pat Durkin, Wednesday 17th Aug @1pm at the Medieval Mile Museum.  Swifts summer in Ireland throughout the months of May to September but unfortunately their numbers are in decline.
