Historic Structures Fund & Built Heritage Investment Scheme 2023 open for applications
The Historic Structures Fund & Built Heritage Investment Scheme 2023 grants were launched recently by Minister Malcolm Noonan. These grants will assist property owners of architectural heritage structures nationwide. In Kilkenny these grants are overseen by Kilkenny County Council Conservation Officer Francis Coady. Closing date for receipt of applications is 5pm Friday 20th January 2023. Application forms and grant criteria available

OHNI Annual Lecture
The Oral History Network Ireland (OHNI) will host their Annual Lecture, titled ‘Always in the Human Consciousness: Exploring the Memory of Ireland’s Revolutionary Period’, on Thursday 1st December from 7-9pm at the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland (RSAI), Merrion Square and will be delivered by oral historian and author Tomás MacConmara. Foundation of State Conference
University College Dublin (UCD) will host a national conference as part of the State’s Decade of Centenaries programme, marking 100 years since the foundation of the Irish State. This conference will take place on Friday 2nd & Saturday 3rd December in UCD, Dublin and seeks to explore the process of state formation amid an ongoing civil war.
