Decade of Centenaries Grant Scheme 2023 open for applications
The Kilkenny Decade of Centenaries Grant Scheme 2023 is now open and applications are invited from heritage societies, local historians, communities and artists who wish to commemorate events which happened in Co. Kilkenny in 1923. Closing date for receipt of applications is 5pm Monday 6th March 2023. Oral History Networking Event online
Oral History Network Ireland (OHNI) will host a free online networking event on Thursday 2nd March from 7-9pm.    This event offers a space for oral historians to meet in an informal setting to discuss ideas and meet other people involved in oral history. It is also an opportunity to share your views on how the OHNI can develop over the coming months and years. Kilkenny County Council Creative Ireland Grant Scheme 2023
The Kilkenny County Council Creative Ireland Grant Scheme 2023 is now open for applications. The main purpose of the scheme is to provide financial support to local and community groups and individuals, artistic and creative practitioners, event organisers and those involved in creative, cultural and heritage activities and projects in order to encourage cultural participation throughout Kilkenny. It also welcomes projects which improve climate literacy, and/or active engagement on climate action in the community through creativity. Community Heritage Grant Scheme 2023 – reminder
The Heritage Council Community Heritage Grant scheme 2023 will close for applications on Monday 20th February @5pm.  It is open to voluntary and community groups, NGO’s and Adopt a Monument participants. “Let’s Team Up to Clean Up, Together for Kilkenny”- Reminder
Kilkenny County Council Environment section is looking for local communities to come out in force to litter pick over the weekend 24th & 25th March. All types of groups are welcome to participate in this event and a special incentive is being offered for early registration as sports clubs, schools, residents associations, community groups and workplaces who register before the 10th February will be entered into a draw for five cash prizes of €250. This initiative is financially supported by the John O’Shea Trust, Dawn Meats, Panda, PRL, Glanbia Plc and Tirlán.
