{"id":2037,"date":"2017-07-27T08:30:01","date_gmt":"2017-07-27T08:30:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kilkennyheritage.ie\/?p=2037"},"modified":"2020-08-31T10:00:31","modified_gmt":"2020-08-31T10:00:31","slug":"first-steps-into-archaeology-archaeology-for-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kilkennyheritage.ie\/2017\/07\/first-steps-into-archaeology-archaeology-for-children\/","title":{"rendered":"Archaeology for children"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><\/h4>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Would you like your children\/pupils to learn more about their heritage, and Kilkenny\u2019s archaeology, in a fun and education-centred way?<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>The Heritage Office of Kilkenny County Council, in partnership with the Kilkenny County Childcare Committee, Kilkenny Education Centre, Dig-it-Kids, and with co-funding from the Heritage Council, has developed a series of 4 lesson plans, and a teachers resource pack to help teach children about archaeology.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kilkennyheritage.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Archaeology-pic-for-Kids-post.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-2075 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/kilkennyheritage.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Archaeology-pic-for-Kids-post-300x201.jpg\" alt=\"Archaeology pic for Kids post\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The lesson\u00a0plans are aimed at pre-school, and also junior and senior infant classes in primary schools.
