New Heritage in School Specialists required
Do you know someone who is an expert in nature, history or geography? And would like to pass on their passion to school children? The Heritage in Schools Scheme, an outdoor education programme for primary school children operated by the Heritage Council, is inviting applications for the 2020-2022 Panel of Heritage Specialists. Rothe House Annual Garden Party
Kilkenny Archaeological Society will host their annual member’s garden party on Saturday 22nd June from 3 – 5 pm in Rothe House gardens (date changed from 29th to 22nd June). Music, stimulating conversation and strawberries and cream will be available. Admission: €7 members, €10 non-members. Wildlife Workshops
The National Biodiversity Data Centre continues their summer/autumn workshop programme with 15 workshops announced and such diverse subjects from recording Ireland’s moths to identifying plants of the rose family. Encountering The Sacred conference
Archaeology Ireland magazine have organised a one day conference, presented by the National Monuments Service in partnership with the Office of Public Works, titled Encountering the Sacred: The Archaeology and Heritage of Pilgrimage, on 5th October from 9.15am – 5.30pm in The Printworks, Dublin Castle, Dublin.
