Community Monuments Fund 2021 call for applications
The Community Monuments Fund to support conservation, maintenance, protection and promotion of archaeological monuments is open for applications. Minister Noonan announced nationwide funding of €2m, an increase of 75% on last year’s funding and can help custodians and owners of archaeological monuments to safeguard them into the future for the benefit of local communities and the public. Closing date for applications: 12th April 2021. Callan gets Historic Towns Initiative Funding
The Heritage Council Historic Towns Initiative 2021 will help to rebuild local economies with heritage as a focal point. Included in this year’s plan and managed by the Conservation Office of Kilkenny County Council, is an award of €57k that will enable the completion of conservation works on the boundary wall/railings at St. Mary’s Church, Mill St, Callan. Phase 1 works completed in 2020 took place to the Green Street façade. GLAS Traditional Farm Buildings grant scheme open for applications
The Heritage Council GLAS Traditional Farm Buildings grant scheme is now open for applications and has moved online this year with the principal objective to ensure that traditional farm buildings and other related structures that contribute to the character of the landscape and are of significant heritage value, are conserved for active agriculture use. Applicants must be participating in GLAS. Closing date for applications: 5pm Monday 5th April 2021.  Community Arts & Culture Grant 2021
Kilkenny & Carlow Education & Training Board (KCETB) is inviting applications for their Community Arts & Culture Grant to support local community providers/groups across Kilkenny and Carlow to connect and engage with adult learners through the medium of arts and culture.
