For your diary – History Fix Series 2 on KCLR
The weekly History Fix Series 2, made in collaboration with the Kilkenny County Council Heritage Office and co-funded by the Creative Ireland and Decade of Centenaries Programmes 2021, with presenter Mary Ann Vaughan will start on KCLR on Tuesday 31st August @6.10pm.   The series will run until Nov. Repairing Traditional Walls Workshop
Building Limes Forum Ireland and SPAB Ireland, with support from the Heritage Council, will host a face to face workshop on Repairing Traditional Walls including Hot-mixed Lime + Earth mortars followed by a masterclass in Shankill Castle Stable yard, Paulstown on Saturday 4th Sept.  Cost: €100 for BLFI & SPAB members, €160 for non-members but includes BLFI or SPAB membership. Birdwatch Ireland will host a live zoom illustrated talk by Lynda Huxley of Swift Conservation Mayo on Swift conservation work at schools in Mayo and how to build the VivaraPro Woodstone Swift Nest Box Deep into a wall on Sunday 22nd August from 5 – 6pm.
