Conservation Grants 2022
Minister Noonan recently announced funding of €8m for our built heritage in 2022 through the Dept of Housing, Local Government and Heritage’s two built heritage schemes, the Historic Structures Fund (€4million) and the Built Heritage Investment Scheme (Stream 1 and 2). Closing date for applications: 26th January 2022. This funding is overseen in Kilkenny by the Kilkenny County Council Architectural Conservation Officer. Heritage Capacity Fund 2022 now open for applications.
The Heritage Council have announced the opening for applications for the Heritage Capacity Fund 2022 which aims to build capacity in the heritage sector by developing and strengthening the skills, processes and resources that heritage organisations need to survive, adapt and thrive following the Covid-19 pandemic. Further details available at https://www.heritagecouncil.ie/funding/funding-schemes Closing date for applications 5pm Tuesday 11th Jan 2022. Please note: A separate Community Heritage Grant Scheme will be advertised in January 2022 for community/voluntary and not for profit organisations to apply for funding for heritage projects.
Tidy Towns newsletter – Issue 10
The Tidy Towns office newsletter Issue 10 has been published online with articles on a Tidy Towns grant to support over 1000 groups in their preparation for the 2022 competition, Dromiskin Tidy Towns group celebrate their 30th anniversary, Tullamore community rose to the challenge that affects many towns – river dumping and Baltinglass Tidy Towns Swift Boxes project 2021.
