Decade of Centenaries Bursary
The Royal Irish Academy (RIA) are undertaking the development and delivery of a bursary scheme as part of the commemorative programme for the final phase of the Decade of Centenaries. The aim of this scheme is to encourage new local research and local history studies (local, national and regional) as a means of recognising the significant contribution of local historians in furthering fields of study relating to the Struggle for Independence and the Civil War period within their communities. Féile Lachtain 2022
Féile Lachtain 2022 will commemorate the 1400th anniversary of the death of St. Lachtain which occurred in 622 with a programme of events. Decade of Centenaries History Competition 2022
As part of the commemoration programme for the Decade of Centenaries, Primary and Post-Primary students across the island of Ireland are invited to enter the All-Island Schools History competition with selected themes having a particular link to centenary events.  Closing date for receipt of entries is Wednesday 27th May. Irish Travellers/ Mincéirs and the State 1922 -2022 webinar
