Heritage Week Thanks
Thanks to everyone who contributed to National Heritage Week in Kilkenny in 2022, from the forty-nine event and project organisers and to those who attended the variety of heritage activities that took place over the week.

National Heritage Week Awards 2022
This year’s National Heritage Week Awards will comprise the county awards, as well as a number of special categories: National Heritage Hero Award; Sustainable Heritage Award; Biodiversity Award; Wild Child Award; Water Heritage Award, Sustainable and Inclusive Event Award. The History Show – reminder
Don’t forget to tune in to KCLR at 6.10pm on Tuesday nights for the next nine weeks. The History Show will look at Kilkenny in 1922 from the perspective of local historians, academics and artists. It will explore the lives of ordinary people in Kilkenny at that time, as well as the people that shaped Kilkenny’s and Ireland’s history and the key events that took place in the county. This series is sponsored by the Heritage Office of Kilkenny County under the Council’s Decade of Centenaries Programme which is funded by the National Commemorations Unit of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media. It will be available to listen back to on www.kclr.ie

Signpost Webinar Series – Hedgerows
The National Rural Network and partners will host a Signpost Webinar titled Hedgerows & Hedgerow Networks Biodiversity, on Friday 2nd September from 9.30 -10.30am which looks at the science and advice underpinning Farm Sustainability in Ireland.
